These locations include: Miamisburg and Englewood.The Buckeye Driver Intervention Program is designed to educate, screen and intervene in the use and behavior patterns that create OVI opportunities.

About the Program A 72-hour residential program designed as an educational alternative to jail for first-time DUI offenders CommQuest also offers a 6-day program for an additional fee. DIP is designed to provide participants with information to develop individualized plans to avoid additional arrests for impaired driving. CommQuest provides individual and group discussions to encourage.

The Program is certified by the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and meets the requirements for a 48 and 72 hour residential program. The 48 hour and 72 hour programs also include the 8 hour remedial driving class at no additional charge to the client.

  • Maryhaven Exploring Sober Alternatives (MESA) is Central Ohio's original driver intervention program for OVI and other misdemeanor alcohol/drug offenses. MESA is state certified as an alternative to incarceration and is offered in a hotel setting. MESA serves court systems throughout Central Ohio (out-of-state DUI.
  • The State of Ohio has mandatory sentencing for individuals convicted of OVI (DUI). If an individual is convicted of a first offense OVI or DUI, there is a mandatory jail sentence of 3 days. The court may allow you to participate in a 72 hour Driver Intervention Program (DIP) as an alternative, as long as the program is state approved.

This is a savings of $75-100.During the weekend program, a screening is conducted, the results are shared with the client and a recommendation for additional services is made if screening results indicate the need. This is a one day class designed to interrupt theft behavior by addressing accountability for the conscious and deliberate decision to steal. As multiple studies have determined, “economic need” is NOT the primary reason people steal, the class examines the top 10 reasons people steal as a way of removing their sense of justification and entitlement. The class also promotes recognition of personal motivation to break the law and identifies steps to avoid future theft behavior.

This class would be appropriate for offenders of any age who were under the influence of alcohol or other drugs at the time of their offense or other inappropriate behavior. The class also includes group process and discussion in order to address more individual issues and personal situations. A screening process is included with recommendations for follow up if high-risk indicators are present.The class is held on Saturdays in order to reduce interference in work or school schedules and is offered two times a month. The Anger Management Class is a one day class designed to educate clients about the psychological and behavioral aspects of both anger and behavior control. A screening is included and staff makes recommendations for additional services if required.The Extended Anger Management Intervention Programis designed to provide education, as indicated, with the addition of individual sessions to provide the opportunity to address individual issues and plan development. This program consists of the Anger Management Class and a minimum of 3 additional sessions.The classes are held on Saturdays in order to reduce interference in work schedules. The individual sessions are scheduled independently.
